Who we are:
WNYPAA is a volunteer run non-for profit organization devoted to providing networking opportunities to students and healthcare providers in the Western New York area. The club holds monthly dinner meetings with a variety of clinical topics in the field of medicine to enrich the Physician Assistant profession. WNYPAA is open for membership to Physician Assistants, Physician Assistant students, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians and Pharmacists.
Our mission:
Each fall, WNYPAA grants two, 500$ scholarships to Physician Assistant students from WNY. This amount of funding has traditionally been raised through ticket raffling at our monthly dinner meetings. This year, we set a goal to increase our generosity beyond our historical amount of 500$ with some fun, new and exciting fundraising efforts, and expand our generosity to very deserving students! You can help us by participating in our first event, SCHOLARSTEPS!!!
JULY 14TH- JULY 28TH
1. SIign up here on myvirtualmission.com, and in a collaborative effort as a team we will walk (virtually) a little over 500 miles around WNY starting from D'Youville College and ending at Daemen College!!
2. Join our team, “WNYPAA” with our code 716, and pay 5$ by choosing the "support this mission" option on our mission website by July 13th.
3. Over this two-week period, sync your Fitbit, Apple Watch, phone, step tracker, or any device to count your daily total steps. Enter your step counts on our event page daily!!
Every step from every participant counts! As we log our steps, follow the team's progress on myvirtualmission.com, our facebook page, or the myvirtualmission app as we collaboratively move from point A to B and so forth, to eventually reach our final destination at Daemen College, and of course, to raise our goal amount$$!!
!!!Although this is a TEAM effort, you can also follow the ledger board during this event for some friendly competition. The top two winners with the highest step counts at the end of the event will be presented with a 25$ Famous Footwear gift card at our dinner meeting on August 1st!
This event is open to ALL MEMBERS, STUDENTS, NON-MEMBERS- friends, family and co-workers!!
