We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
Girls on the Run provides positive development programs for girls in third through eigth grade as an after school program. In 2016, as a volunteer coach, I assisted in exercises that encourage health and fitness to build confidence by completing a 5k running event as part of a team.
In 2017 I joined the board of directors for Girls on the Run Orange County and use my running goals to help fund raise for the program. I plan to run over 1,300 this year - including completing the Boston marathon and New England Challenge (6 marathons in 6 states in 6 days) in working towards my long term goal of 100 marathons/ultras finished by age 50.
A donation to Girls on the Run helps provide race registration, running shoes and t-shirts for the girls, plus CPR and first aid certificaton for coaches.
Please consider donating. I will continue to send updates as I complete races. Thank you for your support.
