In 2016 our founder, Mary Colwell, took on the extraordinary challenge of walking 500 miles across Ireland, Wales and England to highlight the plight of the Curlew. From that journey she wrote Curlew Moon, and from Curlew Moon, Curlew Action was born.
To mark the 10th anniversary of Mary’s walk, we’re inviting everyone who loves Curlews to join us in virtually recreating her route — raising awareness of this magnificent but endangered bird while fundraising to support Curlew Action’s vital conservation and education work.
