FUNDRAISING INFO

Bidibidi is the world's second largest refugee settlement and home to hundreds of thousands of refugees in Uganda. It is the size of Birmingham and the children that live there have lost the stability of their home, their country and for some, their loved ones too – their early experiences robbing them of their childhood.

This is a place where 57% of pre-school refugee children have limited access to early years learning opportunities and play. Yet, play is critical for children's healthy development and enables the children to begin to heal from the traumatic experiences they have experienced in their short lives.

Imagine the thousands of children without access to fun and safe play facilities, who are now likely to have these issues exacerbated by the virus and economic climate.

When you take part in the virtual Quest to Bidibidi, you will be supporting East African Playgrounds to raise vital funds to enable 27,000 refugee children have access to safe play facilities and early years education so that these children can have a much brighter future.

You can find out more about our incredible work, which has already helped 500,000 children in East African by visiting www.eastafricanplaygrounds.org
