Social responsibility is the keystone around which Aflac was built when the company was founded in 1955. Still today, this strong commitment guides Aflac to continuously seek ways to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families around the world.

SPONSOR THIS MISSION

£4,279 raised since 4 Jul 2020.

Aflac Northern Ireland is delighted to be able to support The Children's Cancer Unit Charity through this initiative, a local charity in Northern Ireland that helps children affected by a cancer diagnosis. We aim to raise £4009, the equivalent distance in pounds from our new home in City Quays 2 right here in Belfast, to the Aflac Tower in Columbus, Georgia, USA.

About The Children's Cancer Unit Charity:

Between 60-70 children in Northern Ireland are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Every one of them will visit the Children’s Cancer Unit throughout their journey, as it is the only place in Northern Ireland where children can receive specialist treatment for cancer.

Here, children affected by cancer and blood disorders are treated and cared for by a team of experienced and devoted medical professionals and staff.

The Children’s Cancer Unit is part of a global network that facilitates crucial clinical trials with the objective of improving survival rates, and the quality of that survival, for children affected by these dreadful disorders.

The mission statement of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology is ‘No child should die of Cancer,’ a vision that the Children’s Cancer Unit in Belfast embraces.
