This event is about raising money for the ABF, the Sandhurst Trust and BLESMA (the British Limbless Ex-Servicemans Association).
Officer Cadets and members of staff at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst are undertaking a virtual race from Gaza Company offices in RMAS to Gaza city in Palestine (the home of the battle after which the Company is named). This is a 2996 mile challenge to be completed as fast as possible either in teams of 6 or as individuals. With 12 weeks to complete the challenge teams or individuals will need to average at least 250 miles a week. Swim/Bike/Run/Row/Ski-erg... it matters not. Participants will be covering the distance as fast as possible.
This effort will all be in support of three fantastic charities that do so much in the their own rights to support members of the military and their families.
COVID 19 has made life extremely difficult for so many and the work that these charities do is as important now as it has ever been. The ability to raise money to support them has been challenged by the global pandemic but if Colonel Sir Thomas Moore can do it then so can we.
We would like to raise at least £1 for every mile in the challenge up to a total of £2996. Your help in realising this goal is truly appreciated. Thanks for reading, wish us luck!!
£2,063 raised since 13 Jan 2021.
