RIDE AND STRIDE FOR FOLKESTONE PRIDE

ABOUT THE GROUP

Between 1 February and the 30 April, nine Folkestone Pride volunteers will be collectively biking, walking and running the distance between Folkestone and New York, where the very first Pride parade was held.

Our aim is to raise money for Folkestone Pride. It isn’t just about the parade, the Pride team carry out activities all year round. Even during these restricted Covid times, they are holding events, workshops and exhibitions digitally.

Thank you in advance for donations. Every penny will go to help Folkestone Pride support the LGBTQAI+ people of Folkestone and the surrounding area. With no permanent LGBTQAI+ venue in the entire district, Folkestone Pride provides safe spaces for LGBTQAI+ people to socialise and support one another, as well as undertaking outreach work in the community; ensuring representation for the LGBTQAI+ community and ensuring their rights are protected and their voices heard.

Folkestone Pride is a not-for-profit community group run entirely by volunteers for the benefit of the community.
