As part of our continuing work to improve Engagement and Wellbeing at DCS we’re excited to announce our Charity Challenge! As the days get lighter and the weather gets warmer it's a good reason to get active and join our six-week charity challenge to travel the long way around the world from London to Boston.
Over the past year, the world has been ravaged by Coronavirus and at DCS we wanted to do something to help, plus get us all a little more active (which can only be a good thing after all of the Teams calls we’ve been having). So here’s the plan….
Starting in London the mission is for us as one Super Team to complete nearly 42,000 km through Europe, India and Asia before landing our virtual jet in San Francisco and crossing the whole of the USA to reach our final east coast destination. We’ve set 10 checkpoints along the way and as we reach each marker DCS will donate 1,000 euros to the World Health Organisation. We’re not asking you to donate any money, just your time and energy to help us collectively hit our donation checkpoints!
We’ve only got 45 days to get to all 10 checkpoints so on top of walking, running and cycling we have over 50 other fitness activities that can be converted into distance. So whatever exercise you choose - be it lifting weights or dancing around your home - you can get involved.
So get ready to start logging your activity during April and May and help us achieve our target.
And don't forget to update the blog with some messages and pictures along the way too.
Together we can do this!!
