The Great Run Canada began as a project my husband and I designed to run/walk as much of The Great Trail as possible. As things changed, and I became a certified personal trainer and running coach, we are now using the name for my online coaching program and as a way to encourage people to get and stay active. We plan to continue creating fun and innovative virtual missions of varying lengths, all with personally-made virtual postcards and certificates of completion. Many will be in Canada, but not all. We encourage the logging of all types of activity, and have a pdf for conversion of at-home workouts to distance if needed.
Our most recent project is Canada 154 - a cross-Canada trek in increments of 154km. The first leg is in Newfoundland and from there we will venture to Cape Breton. Please join us or send us a message if you want more information. [email protected]
